5:30 pm: Noche de Cine - Movie Night and Discussion about Early-Onset Dementia

We are proud to announce our community event Noche de Cine y Charla sobre la Demenciade Inicia Temprano (Movie Night and Discussion about Early-Onset Dementia) presented in partnership with the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and Union Capital Boston. This innovative event is an example of the opportunities for engagement that can develop from collaboration between a clinical research team, community partners and the life science industry.

This hybrid event, to be held on Thursday April 25th at 5:30 pm EDT, will consist of a screening of the short film Pedacito de Carne, a drama that follows a young millennial Hispanic woman caring for her mother, as both women have to adjust to their new roles, followed by a live Q&A session with the filmmakers and an MGH Neurology Department clinician to raise awareness about young-onset dementia, its impact on caregivers and brain health for all. This event will be conducted in Spanish; the film will be subtitled in English and Spanish.  Online participants can use the auto-translation functions in YouTube, the event’s streaming platform, to translate the event into their language of their choice.  The target audience is the general public, including greater Boston’s Hispanic community and families impacted by dementia around the world.
