Study Participant First Year Visits
1st Study Visit – Baseline
- In person visit
- You will complete baseline testing including memory, sensory and other age-related tests. You will also have a blood draw and physical exam.
- Appointment length is typically 4 – 5 hours. You can shorten your visit by completing some portions of the visit in advance over the phone. Contact the Participant Concierge to learn more.
- You will be compensated $50 for your visit.
2nd Study Visit – MRI
- In person visit
- You will receive a research MRI scan.
- Appointment length is typically 2 hours. MRI scan generally takes a little over 60 minutes to complete.
- You will receive a disc with your MRI research scan.
- You will be compensated $100 for your visit.
3rd Study Visit – Lumbar Puncture or PET
- In person visit
- You will complete either a Lumbar Puncture (LP) or PET scan procedure.
- LP appointment length is typically 2 hours. PET scan appointment length is typically 3 – 4 hours.
- You will be compensated $100 for your visit.
4th Study Visit – Results
- Virtual visit
- You will meet virtually with a study clinician to discuss your Biomarker results.
- This visit is optional and is offered to those who wish to receive their biomarker results.
Annual (Return) Visit*
- In person visit once a year
- Similar visit to the 1st Study Visit
- Appointment length is typically 3 – 4 hours. You can shorten your visit by completing some portions of the visit in advance over the phone. Contact the Participant Concierge to learn more.
- You will be compensated $50 for your visit.
*Participants in the younger cohort (ages 25-44) complete first year visits only.
