REC Scholar Awards are career development awards designed to support postdocs and early career faculty at Duke, UNC-CH, ECU, NCCU, and UNC-P in their research related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD).

  • Tailored career development activities
  • Mentorship from ADRC investigators
  • Collaborative research opportunities
  • Technical/project support from ADRC Cores, including access to ADRC cohort studies data, access to biospecimens, and statistical consultations
  • $10,000 in research funding per year for 2 years

REC Scholar research is represented in a variety of disciplines across the basic, clinical, and translational sciences.
