The Duke & UNC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) Research Education Component (REC) is now accepting applications for the Associate REC Scholar Program, an opportunity for Duke University undergraduate students interested in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) research.
Associate REC Scholars receive mentorship from ADRC investigators, career development support, and training in the research skills needed to pursue careers in dementia science. Participants also gain exposure to basic, clinical, and translational ADRD research through collaborative learning opportunities and hands-on engagement with the ADRC research community.
Application deadline: November 30, 2026
Students interested in developing their research experience and exploring careers in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia research are encouraged to apply.
