The Duke/UNC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) is pleased to share the launch of the Duke Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratory for Aging: Governance and Evaluation (Duke AITC-AIGE), a new National Institute on Aging-funded initiative dedicated to advancing the responsible use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in aging and dementia research.

As one of five national collaboratories supporting innovation in this space, Duke AITC-AIGE brings together experts in aging, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, AI, technology development, and evaluation science. The center aims to foster collaboration, support innovation, and help ensure that new technologies are developed and implemented in ways that benefit older adults, caregivers, researchers, and healthcare professionals.

The launch of Duke AITC-AIGE reflects the growing role that AI and technology can play in improving research, care, and quality of life for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
