NIA’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers: Tap Into Four Decades of Resources

SLAM DUNC 2024
North Carolina Central University hosted the 2024 Symposium for Learning about Alzheimer’s disease-related Medical research at Duke and UNC (SLAM-DUNC) on September 12-13, 2024, sponsored by the Duke/UNC Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC). This year’s Symposium featured Keynote speakers Dr. Molly Fox (presentation: Evolutionary Medicine Perspectives on Alzheimer’s Disease) and Dr. Goldie Smith Byrd (presentation: Engaging Communities to Address Disparities in Alzheimer’s Disease Research).

Kelcey Ladner, MSW, CCRC
Kelcey joined the Duke/UNC ADRC in October 2024 as a Clinical Research Coordinator. Prior to starting at Duke, Kelcey worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator, mostly on industry-sponsored trials, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Before beginning her research career, Kelcey was a practicing Clinical Social Worker. She received her Bachelors in Psychology at Clark University in Worcester, MA and then received a Masters of Social Work at the University of New England in Portland, ME. Welcome to the ADRC Team Kelcey!
