Dr. Michael, Devinney, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Duke, has been awarded the International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Perioperative Cognition and Delirium PIA Paper of the Year.

The publication evaluates blood brain barrier dysfunction as a potential mechanism underlying delirium, which may shed light on the link between delirium episodes and subsequent risk for Alzheimer’s disease.
