Congratulations to REC Scholar Jenna Merenstein!
REC Scholar Jenna Merenstein has been awarded a 3-year NIH F32 Postdoctoral Fellowship that will use ADRC data, entitled “High-resolution diffusion imaging of brain connectivity in healthy aging and Alzheimer’s disease”.
In this NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship, mentored by Drs. David Madden and Allen Song, Jenna will compare standard resolution and high-resolution measures of white matter structural connectivity to test whether the high-resolution measures are more sensitive to both normal age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer’s disease. Findings from this research may assist with the early identification of adults who are at heightened risk for atypical cognitive decline and will set the stage for studies that may wish to use this clinically feasible high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging protocol in future aging research.
