Speaker: Dr. Janice Hwang, Division Chief of Endocrinology and Metabolism at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine.
Bio
Dr. Hwang is chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Hwang’s academic interests are at the intersection of metabolism and neuroscience. Her research focuses on using advanced brain imaging modalities such as functional MRI and magnetic resonance spectroscopy coupled with classic investigative techniques in metabolism to understand the effects of diabetes and obesity on the brain.
