1:00 pm: The 2nd Annual Braniac Bootcamp1:00 pm: The 2nd Annual Braniac Bootcamp – East Carolina University (ECU) and the Pitt County Council on Aging will host a month-long educational series on keeping your brain healthy. Join the program and learn how you can improve your brain health with senior-friendly exercise sessions, brain bingo trivia, and brain-healthy snacks. Guest speakers will talk about a variety of topics including nutrition, dental health, ways to improve your memory, caregiver support, mental health, medication safety, and brain health research. NC Juneteenth CelebrationNC Juneteenth Celebration
The annual North Carolina Juneteenth Celebration, officially sanctioned by the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation, is now a two-day event…and it has new locations! The 18th Annual North Carolina Juneteenth Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 1-10 pm, and Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 12-6 pm, in Durham, NC, presented by Spectacular Magazine and Triangle Cultural Awareness Foundation. After being held on Main Street (between Roxboro and Dillard Streets) in downtown Durham for the past 10 years, the two-day festival is moved to the Golden Belt Campus in 2022, still keeping the festival downtown. |
